Each element to the Tom Barnett bespoke process is imperative and none more so than our baste fitting. A final master paper pattern hangs in our workrooms for each of our client's future needs, the formation of which all begins here.
With the garment's initial construction assembly to form the foundation of the suit prepared, our baste fitting 'try-on' procedure ensures that we carefully examine the garment on the client looking for any imperfections to the eventual look, feel, fit and drape. The try-on garment will then be completely taken apart, pressed, recut and rebuilt incorporating any and all adjustments and refinements and so noted on the master pattern.
Once a pattern has been created, all subsequent clothes can be completed more rapidly.
